Sherry Padgett, DMD
Sherry Padgett, DMD

Dr. Sherry Padgett has one goal as the owner of Flat Creek Family Dentistry- to provide her patients with the best dental experience and results possible.  Along with her compassionate team, Dr. Padgett treats each one of her patients with the same care and compassion she would give to her own family. She considers it her mission to change the way people think about dentistry.

After receiving her dental degree from the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry in 1999, Dr. Padgett continued her studies in a General Practice Residency at The Cleveland Clinic. While there, she learned advanced techniques in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, as well as received extensive training in working with medically compromised patients.  Dr. Padgett worked in private practice for 4 years in Cleveland, OH after her residency before then moving to Atlanta, Georgia.  In addition to working in private practice in Atlanta, she was the medical/dental director and national spokesperson for Brite Smile teeth whitening company for 7 years.

Dr. Padgett has been married to her high school sweetheart, Rob, since 2004.  They moved to Peachtree City in 2010 to start Flat Creek Family Dentistry and raise their two daughters, Kelsi and Kenzi. During her free time, Dr. Padgett enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, playing golf, and socializing with friends and family.

In 2014, Dr. Padgett was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.  She did not let chemotherapy, a double mastectomy nor radiation take away her positive spirit, and she rang the bell to show completion of her treatment on May 27, 2015.  Due to this experience, Dr. Padgett considers it her calling to help others during their own cancer struggles.

Dr. Padgett enjoys taking numerous continuing education courses to stay current with the changing dynamics of dentistry.  In addition, she is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry.
